I will remain as admin of the league and all the times will stay the same (Practice begins at 8pm ET; Race Begins at 9pm ET), as long as you are registered on this website you will receive race passwords and emails from me like usual, however I highly encourage you guys to check out there website and register over there, as they do a great and offer a lot of great racing, all through the week.

Bottom line is that the league will continue to operate just as it did before, but hopefully this merge will add bigger fields, better racing and an all around better series than before. We are trying to make the move as seamless as possible so let me reiterate: the times, members and rules will all stay the same and If you are currently registered here you do not need to re-register. The changes come from the website (I will leave this website open, staying updated with standings and results, but all articles will be posted at iracesims.com) as well as a few changes in the schedule (Complete schedule is posted under the "Schedule" tab).

I realize to some this sounds confusing, so I highly encourage you guys to come to this Sunday's preseason race at Limerock, where this will all be explained thoroughly (Preseason info posted below). And please if you have any questions, comments or concerns do not hesitate to email me at RookieLegendsSeries@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Aaron Wells

Season 3 Awards

Champion - David Rattler

David Rattler lead a consistent and determined drive to his first ever RLS championship in only his second season. Rattler's real key to the championship was his consistency, finishing outside the top 5 in only two of his starts, David Rattler had an average finish of 2.7. Earning victories at the Charlotte legends oval and Lanier, David Rattler took the championship by 26 points.

Starts: 12

Wins: 2

Poles: 3

Top 5's: 10

Laps Led: 113

2nd Place - Mike Stodder

The season 2 champion Mike Stodder had a strong season despite falling short of his second consecutive title. He earned two victories coming at South Boston and Phoenix, ending with an average finish of 3.8. Occasional strings of bad luck and incidents would cost Stodder a shot at the title but he was able to finish with a solid 2nd place points finish.

Starts: 12

Wins: 2

Poles: 2

Top 5's: 8

Laps Led: 248

3rd Place - Aaron Wells

Aaron Wells earned one victory this season coming at Richmond and had a consistent enough season to earn 3rd in the points, despite having some bad results early on.

Starts: 11

Wins: 1

Poles: 0

Top 5's: 4

Laps Led: 122

Rookie of the Year - Kyle Bartles

Kyle Bartles had a very strong rookie year, although he did not have many top 5's, consistent top 10's as well as a pole and a runner up finish at the Charlotte legends oval was enough to secure him Season 4 Rookie of the Year honors.

Starts: 12

Wins: 0

Poles: 1

Top 5's: 1

Laps Led: 32

Winningest Driver - Peter Vasilopanagos

To try and sum up Peter Vasilopanagos' season is not a hard thing to do, because although he did not lead every lap or start every race from pole, Peter Vasilopanagos was there to win just about every race he ran. And when I say "just about every" I mean "just about every," earning victories at Lanier, South Boston, Irwindale, Martinsville and Oxford, Vasilopanagos won five races and had his worst finish at Richmond in which he finished 2nd.

Starts: 6

Wins: 5

Poles: 2

Top 5's: 6

Laps Led: 235

Other Awards

Lap Leader - Mike Stodder - 248

Laps Complete - Thomas Miteer II - 795

Average Finish - Peter Vasilopanagos - 1.2

Pole Awards - David Rattler - 3

Safest Driver - Mike Stodder - 22 Incidents

Kirt Burcroff steals the show at Darlington

Kirt Burcroff took the checkers and fastest lap for the first time in his RLS career in what was undoubtedly his strongest race to date. Aaron Wells finished 2nd for the second consecutive week and Marcus Dean continued his recent string of good runs with a 3rd place finish. Thomas Miteer II and Mike Stodder finished the race 4th and 5th to round out the top 5. Hard luck of the race without a doubt goes to Dylan Goodin who took the lead late in the race and looked poised to challenge for his first RLS victory until an incident with only 3 laps to go put Goodin back in the 7th position.

Tyler Truex wins at Concord

Tyler Truex won in his first RLS start since Season 1 in a great race at concord. He lead 47 of 60 laps, taking the win in dominating fashion, picking up right where he left off in season 1. Aaron Wells finished the race in second over points leader David Rattler. Cameron Pierce, making his first RLS start finished in fourth and Marcus Dean had a great run in fifth spot. Defending Champion Mike Stodder was looking to make some points up on David Rattler but unfortunately was involved in a single car spin checking up for the last yellow, which relegated Stodder to a 6th place finish. The series races at Darlington next week with both David Rattler and Mike Stodder still going at it for the title.

Aaron Wells wins at Richmond

Aaron Wells won his first race of the season in a great race at Richmond. At first glance the race would appear to be very tame as the race saw only 1 caution for only 5 laps, the racers were driving it three and four wide in what turned out to be a fantastic and clean race. 5 time race winner Peter Vasilopanagos made a great comeback after being involved in the first caution, going one lap down, earning the lucky dog and fighting back through the back to pack to earn 2nd place, which by the way is his worst finish all season. Dylan Goodin made a very impressive run for his best finish of the season in 3rd. David Rattler, who won his second consecutive pole of the season, increased his point lead with 4th place run. Thomas Miteer II rounded out the top five in 5th, scoring his 4th top five of the season. However, all of the close and tight racing would allow Aaron Wells to gain a lead that he would not give back and gain his first victory of the season. Courtesy of some early race trouble by second place in points, Mike Stodder, David Rattler now has his biggest points lead of the season at 20 points, but the title fight is far from over as the series heads to Concord.

Peter Vasilopanagos wins his fifth at Martinsville

Despite not running for points Peter Vasilopanagos has made quite an impression on the Rookie Legends Series this season as he earned his 5th victory of the season in as many races at Martinsville. Points leader David Rattler earned his first pole of the season and lead the field to green, but it wouldn't take Peter Vasilopanagos long to take a look under Rattler and grab the lead. David Rattler, who appeared to be the fastest on the track put immediate pressure on Vasilopanagos for the lead, but a series of mid-race cautions would halt his charge. Meanwhile the fight was on for third place, as Aaron Wells and defending champion Mike Stodder traded positions back and forth until a late race penalty relegated Wells to a 7th place finish, which would allow Stodder to secure 3rd spot. Dylan Goodin and David Brownell both had strong runs, both earning their first top 5 of the season in 4th and 5th respectively. A 2nd place run by Rattler would help him extend his points lead to 10 points over Mike Stodder. At the end of the day it was all Peter Vasilopanagos earning his fifth victory of the season.

Defending champion Mike Stodder won the Phoenix 60 to take his first win of the season. Logan Sheets started from pole and lead for 29 laps clinching most laps lead. The top four of Logan Sheets, Aaron Wells, David Rattler and Mike Stodder pulled ahead and ran together for most of the race. On a restart Logan Sheets had a problem getting through the gears and Mike Stodder took the lead for good. Stodder held off some late race challenges from Aaron Wells to claim his 5th RLS victory and first of the season. Aaron Wells, who was running in the 2nd position looped it around on the last lap while going for the lead, which resulted in a 7th place finish. David Rattler strengthened his points lead with a 2nd place finish, and Logan Sheets jumped to 2nd in points with a 3rd place finish. Thomas Mitteer II had a strong run in 4th and Ryan Jarred, making his first start of the season was 5th.

Tyler Burgess started from pole and lead the first 28 laps, but Peter Vasilopanagos, who started third, got by Tyler Burgess to take the lead and then held off the field for the remaining 42 laps to claim his third consecutive RLS victory. A late race spin relegated Tyler Burgess to a 7th place finish. David Rattler finished 2nd followed closely by Tyler Edwards in 3rd. Thomas Miteer II and Marcus Dean both had great runs, rounding out the top 5 in 4th and 5th. David Brownell was 6th followed by pole-sitter Tyler Burgess in 7th, and Anthony Collins, who was caught up in just about every incident out there rallied back from 2 laps down to finish on the lead lap in 8th. Kirt Burcroff who was making his first start finished 9th. Third place in points, Logan Sheets was able to salvage a 10th place finish, after being the victim of an early race incident.
