Aaron Wells won his first race of the season in a great race at Richmond. At first glance the race would appear to be very tame as the race saw only 1 caution for only 5 laps, the racers were driving it three and four wide in what turned out to be a fantastic and clean race. 5 time race winner Peter Vasilopanagos made a great comeback after being involved in the first caution, going one lap down, earning the lucky dog and fighting back through the back to pack to earn 2nd place, which by the way is his worst finish all season. Dylan Goodin made a very impressive run for his best finish of the season in 3rd. David Rattler, who won his second consecutive pole of the season, increased his point lead with 4th place run. Thomas Miteer II rounded out the top five in 5th, scoring his 4th top five of the season. However, all of the close and tight racing would allow Aaron Wells to gain a lead that he would not give back and gain his first victory of the season. Courtesy of some early race trouble by second place in points, Mike Stodder, David Rattler now has his biggest points lead of the season at 20 points, but the title fight is far from over as the series heads to Concord.
